Based in Chinatown, New York City, Jessie Nelson is a designer, craftsman, musician and audio engineer.  Ten years of focus on creating furniture formed the vocabulary that produced his début collection, Knuckle On Bone. This suite includes BOARD 1, a credenza made specifically with the audiophile in mind, fusing his two passions.

Nelson draws inspiration from post-communist Soviet architecture and the great Modernist designers, resulting in an ongoing investigation into the art of concrete casting. The perfectly imperfect forms rendered by this raw process balance his fine manipulation of metal and wood to create furniture that is both functional and sculptural. Nelson is committed to incorporating salvaged woods. Much of his wood materials stem from his long-standing relationship with Re-Co Brooklyn, a lumber mill dedicated to producing furniture grade slabs from local and sustainably sourced trees.
