Native Southern Californian DAN POLLOCK has spent the past 31 years living on a fifteen acre ranch located in the High Desert at the foothills of the San Bernardino National Forest. Dan is a woodsman turned artist. His main inspiration comes from the forrest and it’s tranquility: woods such as White Fir, Giant Juniper, Cottonwood and different types of Pine are his medium of choice. Dan tries to source wood that did not require a living tree to be cut down, which he then sands and smoothes, seeking to reveal the gentle lines and organic movements found in nature. Often this process can takes years before becoming one of his signature pieces.
